New Season Information

Dear Schrobbelaars,
The new season is about to start again! I hope you are all as excited
as I am to start balling, training and playing games!
In this e-mail you will find all information that you need to have to
get started. Read it carefully so you won't get any surprises.
- First of all, the (preliminary) team compositions can be
found in the attachment "Schrobbelaar Team Compositions
2006-07.pdf".
There will be selection trainings for H1/H2, so if you are currently
in H2 or H3 and you would like to be in H2 or H1 you should at least
attend one of the selection trainings. More information about the
selection trainings will follow later in this e-mail. If you think you
are put in the wrong team, please contact me (Frank, 06-43228118) or
your coach. If your team consists of less than 12 people this means
there are open spots. If you have friends that might want to play with
Schrobbelaar now is the time to recruit them!
- Trainings times for all teams can be found in the
attachment "Schrobbelaar Training Times 2006-07.pdf".
Training will officially start the first Monday of September.
Last week, I got an e-mail from the USC that the main part of the
earlier promised extra training space would not go through because of
problems with the school that provided the gym. This means we have to
do with practically the same amount of training space as last season.
A huge disappointment, with the direct result that most teams will
only have one (good) time to train. The training times for the teams
might not be the best for everyone, though if you had relatively good
times last season, you have less good times this season and vice
verse. In the meanwhile, Schrobbelaar keeps on searching for more
training space.
- The first games will be played in the weekend of September
16th. At the moment of writing exact times and dates are not known
yet. They will be put on our website (
www.bcschrobbelaar.tk ) in the upcoming weeks together with the
first task-list.
- The contribution fees are slightly changed. The fee stays
E110,- for H3, D2 and D3. For H1, H2 and D1 the fee is raised slightly
from E150,- to E160,-. This raise was necessary to be able to pay the
NBB-referees. In september you will get the bill which needs to be
paid within 1 month.
- As mentioned earlier H1/H2 will have selection trainings. Some spots
opened up, which gives the opportunity for ambitious players from
Schrobbelaar (but also non-members) to play in either the 1st or 2nd
team. The selection-trainings will be held in the week previous to the
official start of the season on the following days:
Wed 30-08, 20.30h, court 3
Fri 01-09, 19.00h, court 3
These trainings will most probably be led by the coach of H1, Danny
White. If you are interested in playing in a higher team than you are
currently in make sure you attend these trainings. If you are allready
in H1 or H2 it is not obliged to be present at the training, though it
ís highly recommended.
- On request of the coach of D1, D1 can start training 1 week earlier.
Training times in this week are:
Wed 30-08, 19.00h, court 3
Fri 01-09, 20.30h, court 3
- We are still searching for coaches for both H2 and H3. If
you know someone that could be interested, please ask him or mail his
contact information to BC Schrobbelaar (
bcschrobbelaar@gmail.com)
We wish you all a great season!
